الملخص

The study was conducted at the Agricultural Research Station of the College of Agriculture - University of Basra in the Karma Ali area to study the effect of foliar spraying with different concentrations of ascorbic acid (0, 50, 100) mg L-1, and Different concentrations of nano-silicon (0, 37.5, 75) mg L-1, and the interaction between them in vegetative growth, the leaves’ content of chlorophyll and carotene pigments, and the yield of one plant. The results showed that the two concentrations of spraying with ascorbic acid, 50 and 100 mg L-1, were significantly superior in plant height, number of aerial stems, leaf content of chlorophyll and carotene pigments, and tuber weight. The concentration of 100 mg L-1 was significantly superior to the yield of one plant. Also, spraying with nano-silicon at both concentrations of 37.5 and 75 mg L-1 showed a significant increase in all the mentioned characteristics. The interaction between the two factors had a significant effect on all the traits under study, except for the number of aerial stems and tuber weight.
